The Modern Sprinkler Corporation was founded in 1932 by Martin Gelber, owner of the Peerless Automatic Sprinkler Company, as the inspection, testing and maintenance arm of Peerless. Modern, along with Peerless Automatic, were acquired in 1972 by William Bowe and folded into the ABCO Peerless family of companies. Today, it serves as the inspection, testing and maintenance company of the ABCO family for all water based fire protection systems. Modern, in conjunction with ABCO Peerless Fire Suppression, make up the service groups affiliated with the ABCO Peerless Sprinkler Corporation.
