The Astoria II Combined Cycle Power plant, in conjunction with the Astoria I plant, is the largest natural gas-fired power plant in operation in New York City. This 550 MW plant features two combustion turbine generators, two heat recovery steam generators and one steam turbine generator in its combined cycle operation. Dubbed one of the cleanest and most efficient plants in America at the time of its construction, there were many challenges assembling this plant on its 7 acre plot adjacent to the East River.  ABCO Peerless provided design expertise and unparalleled construction capability to bring this vital infrastructure project to completion.
